Data and User Insight Research
Working collaboratively with the digital transformation team, we revolutionise traditional procurement by prioritising authenticity, transparency, and collaboration for SME businesses.
Unlike conventional processes that can be rigid and impersonal, this initiative sought to create a seamless, user-friendly journey that would encourage businesses to connect, engage, and collaborate more effectively.
The Challenge
Traditional procurement processes often lack transparency and collaboration, creating barriers for businesses seeking to engage with opportunities. With no existing technology in place, the project required a ground-up digital solution that would streamline the user journey while ensuring authenticity in business interactions.
The Digital Transformation team needed to validate this new approach with real businesses, testing whether a more intuitive, video-based, and interactive procurement model could unlock greater participation and investment.

The Approach
With no existing technology in place, the project required a ground-up digital solution, ensuring that the new approach was intuitive, accessible, and validated by real businesses.
By integrating design thinking workshops, user flow optimisation, and low-cost prototyping, the Evident team worked closely with Digital Transformation to test and refine a procurement model that would unlock new opportunities for businesses—particularly within the Cornwall economy.

The Outcome
The new procurement model was successfully validated by real businesses, with overwhelmingly positive feedback highlighting its transparency, ease of use, and collaborative nature. Businesses, particularly within the Cornwall economy, recognised it as a groundbreaking step towards a more accessible and effective procurement process. The validation phase helped secure the necessary investment, proving that this innovative approach could drive stronger business engagement and economic growth.
